PebblePad PDA is working!

After a couple of really hectic weeks getting the units installed with all the programs needed for the project; skype, facebook mobile, audio notes as well as synchronising them - we have finally got everyone to log on to PebblePad mobile - 1 user has problems logging in. I tested PebblePad PDA yesterday and it works - I am running an Elluminate session on Thursday and Friday which I will record and take photos of - reflect on and upload to PebblePad to my asset store to include in my webfolio of the project (seeing as I forgot to evidence my last effort - doh!) - by the end of the session -all users should be able to access both PebblePad mobile and PebblePad PDA on their PDA units.

I am pleased with the progression of the project in the last few days and am hoping all problems with logins etc will be resolved by Friday.

Mike Heckman from computing services has been a major lifeline of the project and I couldnt have got so far without his technical help.

Students should be posting blogs here about the project and also have a private journal account with campus pack which is proving to be a nightmare - so that is number 1 on the list to get sorted but it is a busy time of year with all the fresh faced and in some cases loan laden (boo the disorganised loans company) all happily skipping through the congested aisles of the University to their classes for the new academic year!

Its going to be a hectic few weeks but thoroughly worth it!

PUPPS training session 28.09.09

Held the first training session via Elluminate today - three students joined the session and I think it went fairly well - however, I forgot to create some evidence of the session to upload with my reflection using PebblePad - doh!

I have circulated the link to the PUPPS network and hope to be joined by some friends soon - this way each of us will be able to post, make comments - give recommendations etc

Things are starting to get off the ground BUT there still seems to be connection problems with the PDAs etc- I am hoping that all participants will have all accounts set up and connection problems resolved over the next few days!

I found this image which I think conceptualises what I am trying to do on the PUPPS project - I want to use mobile technologies to capture learning experiences and record evidence of these experiences, but importantly student reflect on the experiences.

OK - off to watch Match of the Day 2 - tense in the house - husband is caught up in the cricket - hope England win or he will be unbearable!
